After getting in to see my new care team last week I thought it was time to leave a review about my horrible experience with Dr. Huey Meeker in West Linn, OR. Visits were rushed and mostly him asking what I needed that day. I never received referrals when I needed them and had to manage almost everything myself. The office has no receptionist, it’s difficult to get anyone on the phone, and MyChart is not used at all. My girlfriend who is a nurse said a hospitalist with a private practice should absolutely be using MyChart and she was shocked that he wasn’t. On top of that, I felt very uncomfortable as an LGBTQ+ patient and like I wasn’t fully seen or respected. His mistakes and lack of care were horrible. I am much happier with my new care team and wanted to share my experience so others can know what to expect from him and his office.

Very nice Doctor. He is very through and orders test and blood only if you need it. Really enjoy going to the office. Dr.Meeker is the only doctor in his office. So very nice to see the same doctor very time.

Dr. Meeker is the best physician I have ever had. He listens to me, asks great questions, is thorough and been outstanding in his follow up. His methodical approach to my health was refreshing and much appreciated. I have never had a doctor quite like him.

Dr. Meeker is an exceptionally thorough and compassionate physician who stands out in an era where finding a truly dedicated doctor is increasingly rare. From the moment I entered his practice, I was impressed by the professionalism and welcoming environment of the entire office. Dr. Meeker takes the time to listen, understand, and develop a detailed, personalized treatment plan that goes beyond just prescribing medications. His approach is methodical, mapping out the best path forward, and truly working to restore balance in my health-something that has been a challenge for years. I can’t recommend him highly enough for anyone seeking a physician who genuinely cares about getting to the root cause of health issues and providing thoughtful, tailored care. I’m grateful for his expertise and support in this journey!

Dr. Meeker is a direct reflection of what is wrong with our healthcare system. He doesn't have five stars (fortunate to have four), due to his offensive, if contemptuous behavior toward patients. If he graduated from medical school, he's smart enough to know that, REFUSING TO HAVE A HUMAN ANSWER THE PHONE, AND REFUSING TO HAVE A HUMAN AT THE FRONT DESK is a reg flag he cares not a wit about his patients' experience. He was 25 minutes late for my appointment, (not a soul in sight to tell him a NEW patient was waiting) while chatting away as if he were at a backyard BBQ with another patient, (yes, you could hear it all in the waiting area). The larger issue is this, during the 'visit,' I had a protracted conversation on why he needed to send my BLOODWORK to my insurance together with his Authorization. I even made a second trip to drop off a physical copy of the A1-C blood test (still, no human at front desk; I left an envelope with Dr. Meekers' name). I called later to confirm receipt and spoke to a woman who answered 'from home' named Clarissa. She assured me Dr. Meeker would get the document. In short? My insurance rejected the claim for requisite medicine since Dr. Meeker not only refused to send in my bloodwork, he got the entire claim and related-code WRONG. As noted, we discussed this matter ad nauseam while I was in his office. My insurance had no information whatsoever other than a monosyllabic claim---of course they had to deny it. Save yourself the trouble. Go somewhere else.
